How to connect a product feed to store search
Connect your product feed to Indexa: supported XML, RSS, Atom and YML formats, feed language, loading products and checking your store catalog.
Which feed can I use?
Indexa supports Google Merchant XML/RSS, Atom and YML feeds. Use a permanent URL that your store keeps up to date.
The file must be accessible by URL without signing in to your store or entering a password.
Add a feed
Open “Catalog → Feeds” and click “Add feed”.
Enter a descriptive name and the product feed URL.
Select the language used for product names and descriptions.
Click “Add feed” to start loading products.
Wait for loading to finish and check the number of products in “Catalog → Products”.
Check the products after loading
| Data | What to check |
|---|---|
| Product ID | It should be stable and identify the same product after each update. |
| Name and link | The name should be readable and the link should open the correct product page. |
| Price and currency | They should match the prices on your website. |
| Image | The photo should be accessible and show the correct product. |
| Category, brand and model | Fill these in when they are needed for search in your store. |
| Availability | The status should reflect whether shoppers can order the product. |
If the feed fails to load
Check the URL, access without a password, the file format and the error message next to the feed.
Fix the source and start a manual update. If an update is already queued, wait for it to finish.
